AmeZam Terms & Conditions

Your trusted shipping solution from America to Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Lubumbashi DRC, and Botswana.

1. Service Overview

AmeZam LLC transports packages from the United States of America to Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Lubumbashi DRC, and Botswana via ground, air, and sea transportation. Final delivery is made to designated warehouses or residential addresses by AmeZam Zambia Limited.

2. Contract Requirement

AmeZam services are offered strictly on a contract basis. All shippers must enter into an approved contract when filling out the packing list for any AmeZam service.

3. Rates

• Ocean Shipment: Charged by volume.

  • Zambia & Malawi: $0.022 per cubic inch.

  • Zimbabwe, Lubumbashi DRC, & Botswana: $0.0264 per cubic inch.

• Air Shipment: Charged by weight ($22 per every kilogram increment) or $0.121 per cubic inch — whichever is higher.

4. Payments

Full payment is required before shipment.

• Unpaid items will not be shipped.

• Parcels in AmeZam’s custody without payment will incur 10% interest on the invoice value every 7 days while in transit.

5. Purchase Assistance

AmeZam may assist with purchases if:

• The client is specific about the items.

• Funds are deposited in advance.
  AmeZam assumes no liability for loss or issues arising from this arrangement.

6. Additional Charges

• Air shipments: $17 handling fee for Zambia, $28 for Malawi.

• Additional fees apply for shipments outside Lusaka or for nonstandard services. Customers will be advised in advance.

7. Package Requirements

• Minimum dimensions: 4 inches (H) × 6 inches (L) × 75 inches (thick).

• Must be packed in durable containers, shrink-wrapped, and labeled with an AmeZam item code.

• Barrels and strong boxes are highly recommended. Packaging materials may be sourced through AmeZam upon request.

8. Prohibited Items

AmeZam will not accept:

• Hazardous materials (e.g., lithium batteries, flammable liquids, firearms, illegal drugs).
  Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with AmeZam’s prohibited items policy and all applicable laws.

9. Transit Time & Service Guarantee

Delivery times are not guaranteed.
Customers waive all claims for damages due to delayed delivery.

10. Mode of Transportation & Delivery

AmeZam may use any transportation method at its discretion.

• One delivery attempt will be made per package.

• Packages may be released without a signature.

11. Undeliverable Packages

• Returned to the warehouse and charged $5/day for storage.

• Additional services (e.g., address change, forwarding) are at AmeZam’s discretion and expense of the customer.

12. Termination of Service

AmeZam may terminate service immediately if:

• The customer fails to comply with these terms or any agreement.

• AmeZam changes or eliminates service terms.

13. Liability Limitations & Refunds

Unless insured, AmeZam’s liability for loss or damage is capped at $100 per package.

• Compensation is based on the lowest of:

  1. Actual cost of goods.

  2. Repair cost.

  3. Replacement cost.

  4. $100.
     AmeZam is not liable for loss or damage while goods are with third parties.
